Stairways Personal Care Homes are 24-hour, supervised, state-licensed facilities where persons with mental health care needs receive therapeutic support as well as recreational and social opportunities.
Residents receive individualized care in safe, home-like environments, recognizing their unique mental health needs. Individuals are assisted in reaching and maintaining their maximum potential and are encouraged to develop continuing, self-sustained, independent activities in addition to those provided by the program.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Supervisor of PCH assists the PCH Director with clinical and administrative supervision of Personal Care Home operations as well as continuous improvement of programming and individual client services through innovation, effective leadership and collaboration. Administrative / supervisory duties include staff supervision and development; scheduling; monitoring of internal systems, policies and regulations; facility management; and ongoing program design. Clinical duties include conducting resident assessments, developing and implementing comprehensive support plans, coordinating treatment and rehabilitation services as indicated, and providing supportive counseling and skills teaching based on each resident's individualized plan. The incumbent will co-facilitate multidisciplinary team meetings with the Director in order to utilize and incorporate the skills, clinical judgment and input of each member of the team when developing new or modified support plans. The incumbent will emphasize recovery principles in all aspects of rehabilitation and treatment and serve as a role model for other program staff in promoting and delivering recovery-oriented services and supports. Finally, Supervisor will establish and maintain positive and productive relationships with the clients served and their families as well as internal and external service providers.
