POSITION SUMMARY:

The ACT Program Director, who functions as the Team Leader per fidelity and regulatory requirements of the model, is responsible for the clinical and administrative operation of the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) program. Along with providing direction to the clinical team, the Director functions as a practicing clinician and provides direct service to clients and supervision and coaching to clinical staff. The Director, in collaboration with the team psychiatrist, has overall responsibility for monitoring each client's clinical status and response to treatment, providing leadership to treatment teams, and overseeing the med monitoring program through supervision of the nursing team. The incumbent along with every member of the ACT team, must adhere to the fidelity standards, DPW regulations, and the policies and procedures established by the organization.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Master's level degree in a clinical discipline including, but not limited to, psychiatry, social work, psychology, nursing, rehabilitation, counseling or activity therapies; licensure preferred; and, a minimum of 2 years clinical experience and 2 years of administrative / supervisory experience.
  2. Current certification as Certified Peer Specialist Supervisor or will attain certification within 6 months of date of hire or assignment to the Team Leader position; current certification in psychiatric rehabilitation (CPRP) is recommended.
  3. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, organizational skills and the ability to effectively lead a team of mental health professionals.
  4. Strong clinical skills with working knowledge of mental health and drug and alcohol systems, psychiatric rehabilitation principles and recovery approaches.
  5. Act 33/34/31 Clearance and FBI Criminal Background Check.
  6. Valid driver's license with access to a vehicle during scheduled work hours.
